Message of his Holiness Pope Francis for Lent 2015
“Make your hearts firm” (Jas 5:8)
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Lent is a time of renewal for the whole Church, for each communities and every believer. Above all it is a “time of grace” (2 Cor 6:2). God does not ask of us anything that he himself has not first given us. “We love because he first has loved us” (1 Jn 4:19).

In Carmel, the Christmas celebrations are always very joyful and profound at the same time, in the contemplation of the unfathomable love of God who takes flesh of our flesh.
Advent 2014
In the Advent season we await the coming of the Lord and we prepare to celebrate the birth of the Son of God in our flesh; it is a time of joyful hope. This hope is totally orientated to the presence of Emmanuel, and his final coming.

You must smile contemplating all our projects and programs, you who were rather upset with dates ... and you must also rejoice to see your children who celebrating a feast, you always wanted to instill in us a great sense of family, and fraternal joy.

St. Albert of Jerusalem
In September we celebrate the eight centenary of the death of St. Albert, who was the Patriarch of Jerusalem from 1206 to 1214. He gave the Rule of Life to the Hermits of Mount Carmel, the Rule which is also ours. We invite you to meditate a hymn written by a Carmelite nun. It is a poetic, liturgical composition which wonderfully resumes the principle elements of our formula of life.
